Itinerary

Day 1: Manali

Meet and greet in Manali, post which Introduction, Registration & briefing will be done by our crew. It is a day at leisure where you can explore the cafes of Old Manali or can relax at the hotel.

Day 2: Manali – Chandrataal (115 K/M - 4 Hrs.)

After early morning breakfast we will start from Manali to reach Chandrataal. We will start our journey via Solang valley and then we will cross Atal Tunnel which is the World’s Longest Highway Tunnel above 10,000 ft and connects Manali to Lahaul Valley. There are few more places like Gramphu, Chhatru and Batal on the way to Chandrataal which are very serene. We reach by evening, check-in at Camps followed by dinner in the evening. Overnight stay at the Camps.

Day 3: Chandrataal - Kaza (120 K/M - 5 Hrs.)

 After an early breakfast, we will be driving about 100km to reach Kaza through Losar. The convoy will reach there by afternoon so we’ll check- in hotel/homestay. As soon as we start coming closer to Kaza the terrain changes and we find some paved roads in Kaza. The road from Chandrataal to Kaza goes through a dry river bed. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza.

Day 4: Kaza (80 K/M – 2 Hrs.)

Kaza is situated along the Spiti river at an elevation of 3,650 metres. Kaza is overlooked by mountain ridges on all sides. Today is a rest day and we will explore the attractions in and around Kaza which are Chicham Bridge (Asia’s highest bridge), Hikkim Village (highest post office in the world), Komic Village (Highest inhabited village in the world) and the famous Key monastery.

Day 5: Kaza - Tabo (90 K/M – 3.5 Hrs.)

After breakfast we start riding towards Tabo, we visit the oldest Buddhist monastery in India, the Tabo Monastery. It is known for numerous frescoes that adorn its walls which depict tales from the Buddhist pantheon. After reaching check-in at beautiful and comfortable homestay awaiting us in Tabo followed by dinner. Overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 6: Tabo - Kalpa (190 K/M – 7 Hrs.)

After breakfast we take a 7-hour ride to Kalpa Valley from Tabo. During the journey, we will take a stopover at the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk at Gue, which is almost 600 years old. On our way to Kalpa, we explore the beautiful villages like Pooh, Nako, Sumdo etc. – the ultimate Indian villages on the Indo-Tibetan border. Check-in to the hotel after arriving in Kalpa. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Kalpa – Sangal – Chitkul - Kalpa (140 K/M – 7 Hrs.)

After an early breakfast we will leave for Chitkul which is the last Inhabited Indian village Indo-china border in the Sangla valley. After visiting Chitkul we will come back to Kalpa by late in the evening. Dinner & Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 8: Kalpa – Sarahan (95 K/M – 5 Hrs.)

After an early breakfast the convoy will leave for Sarahan. Sarahan is a tiny hamlet in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.. It is the site of the Bhimakali Temple, originally known as Bhimadevi Temple. We will reach Sarahan by Lunch time and will spent the time to explore the local attractions

Day 9: Sarahan – Shimla (180 K/M – 6 Hrs.)

After breakfast the convoy will leave for Shimla, we will reach Shimla post Lunch. This is going to be the trip’s last night in the mountains as tomorrow we will descend down to plains. Dinner & Overnight stay in the hotel

Day 10: Shimla -Chandigarh (180 K/M – 6 Hrs.)

Today is the last day of the trip and post breakfast we will leave for Chandigarh. This day brings us to the end of the trip with fond memories of the trip fresh on our minds and with a promise to meet again, we bid adieu to each other.

Terms and Conditions
<p>1. We invite participants from all around the country. We encourage the participants with bikes only. Motorbike Ladakh is a self-drive expedition &amp; is not aimed at providing a taxi or a car with driver. Extremely exceptional cases will be treated with special considerations &amp; will entail extra costs over &amp; above the price specified in this document.</p><p>2. All &lsquo;driving&rsquo; participants must have a valid Indian driving license or an international driving license valid in India. We may at our discretion accept or reject any application.</p><p>3. There will be no refund for any service unveiled.</p><p>4. Any Bike can be used for participation. The vehicle must be in good condition mechanically. The condition of the brakes, tires, battery, clutch plates must be in reasonably good condition. The vehicle must have all the required documents that prove it can be legally driven on Indian roads and all permits should be in place. If the owner of the vehicle is not a participant, a letter of authority for use of the vehicle needs to be provided.</p><p>5. Safekeeping of the participants&rsquo; vehicle, belongings or any personal items would be the sole responsibility of the participant.</p><p>6. Vehicle mileage and fueling needs of the vehicle should be taken care by the participant, as extra fuel would not be carried by our team.</p><p>7. Our company would not be held responsible for any changes to the itinerary, amendments or exclusions to the expedition plan and will not-= be liable for any costs or claims arising from the same, if the changes or exclusions have been the direct or indirect result of a natural disasters, accidents, severe weather changes, or govt or military actions. Our crew will go the extra mile in accommodating any such event, to ensure minimum impact to our clients. And as far as reasonably possible, we will look to partially refund in case the expedition is cut short because of such reasons, in the number of activities or the number of days as outlined in this document.</p><p>8. The recovery vehicle &amp; the car mechanic support is provided as part of the expedition. Not included in this service, are any costs attributable to vehicle repair which is carried out anywhere else than the place of breakdown, or which cannot be reasonably carried out by our recovery vehicle &amp; mechanic at the time/place of breakdown. For eg. if there is a major incident like the axle breaks. If the mechanic is not able to repair the vehicle, then it will have to be sent to the nearest workshop. Spare parts cost is also not included.</p><p>9. The medical equipment&rsquo;s &amp; personnel support is provided as part of the expedition. Not included in this service are any costs attributable to treatment of sickness/ill-health, which cannot be reasonably treated by our expedition medical professional or using our expedition medical supplies, or which is carried out anywhere else than place of occurrence of ill-health or sickness. Our crew team will go beyond their contractual obligation &amp; will aim to provide extended assistance in taking care of the participant&rsquo;s vehicle &amp; transporting the participant to a safe place where the participant will get good medical help. Cost arising of such incidents would have to be borne by the participants, with WA having no liability</p><p>10. Limitation of Liability: These terms and conditions govern the relation between you, the participant and WA (Wanderers Adventure). You will be bound by these terms and conditions upon joining this expedition. WA responsibility would be limited because of the fact that we liaise with 3rd parties such as hotels, adventure sports companies and other such companies for various arrangements for this expedition.</p>
